Established in 1986, Aberdeen Asset Managers Private Equity is the private equity division of listed investment management company Aberdeen Asset Management PLC. Through both organic growth and strategic acquisition, the business has grown to its present size, with over £252.4 million* of funds under management, and a team of over forty one professionals providing the full range of private equity services to our client base, which comprises Limited Partnerships, Investment Trusts, VCTs, Local Authority Pension Funds and specialist Investment Companies.
Through our Private Equity and Growth Capital investment teams, we specialise in investing between £1 million and £20 million in UK based unquoted companies. About AVCAL
The Australian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association Limited (AVCAL) is the national association that represents the venture capital industry's participants, promotes the industry and encourages investment in growing business enterprises.
Membership comprises venture capital firms, institutional investors, banks, incubators, angels, corporate advisors, accountants, lawyers, government bodies, academic institutions and other service providers to the industry.
AVCAL's venture capital members represent most of the active venture capital firms. These firms provide capital for seed and pre-seed ventures, early stage companies, later stage expansion, and finance for management buyouts and buy-ins of established companies. There are almost 60 investor members with $10 billion invested or available for investment.
British Venture Capital Association
The BVCA - The British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association is the industry body for the UK private equity and venture capital industry. Our membership of well over 400 members represents the overwhelming number of UK-based private equity and venture capital firms and their advisers. The BVCA has 25 years of experience representing the UK industry, which currently accounts for
57% of the whole of the European market, to government, the European Commission and Parliament, the media, regulatory and other statutory bodies at home, across Europe and around the world. We promote the industry to entrepreneurs and investors, as well as provide services and best practice standards to our members.
Irish Venture Capital Association (IVCA)
The IVCA is the representative body of the venture capital industry in Ireland. The association was established in 1985 to represent the views of its members and to promote the Irish venture capital industry. We seek to encourage co-operation and best practices within the industry and to facilitate those seeking venture capital. The IVCA also continuously works with those individuals and organisations committed to fostering an economic and regulatory climate conducive to the growth and development of an enterprising economy.
The IVCA represents members who professionally manage over 95% of the EUR1.25 billion managed by venture capital funds on the island. Our membership also includes accountancy firms, corporate financiers, lawyers, consultants and financial institutions.
