The best thing you can do is form an investment club type of thing and then talk to your investment buddies about investing in a local business. Explain how investing in a local business is better for the community as a whole compared to investing in opportunities that are based in other states or even other countries. Show how keeping the money, both investment and profit in circulation in your country is much more helpful to the economy than spreading it to places not even associated with your community and who are not giving something directly back to that community.

In case no one has noticed there are less and less American based and owned manufacturing businesses today. The market is wide open for interested parties to open these type of businesses and produce products for those of us who want to keep our currency in this economy rather than bleeding it dry.

I am all for supporting local businesses. Manufacturing is being outsourced to other countries, we all know that, and it is not good. Any ideas on how we can overcome this trend? Some people would be willing to invest locally because they are patriots, but others look at their ROI and see that they will get far more profit if the product is manufactured in China because of low labor costs. Money talks, and the decision is based on that.

Yea the problem with that is its quick money....its also blood money. we have to appeal to peoples morals to not invest in countries that do not uphold civil rights like we do. Do not treat their employees like we think they should be treated. And since the immoral will pay you no attention we need to tax the crap out of those who invest in and buy products made overseas. At least the price should be comparable to a nationally produced product.

In no way should we tank our economy to build up another nations economy. and that is what foreign investing and foreign purchasing is doing.
