Default Be careful before hiring a business plan writer

One way to write a business plan is to hire someone to write it for you. It should be a somewhat long and interactive process, as this person must learn exactly what you're trying to accomplish, and how.

If you do this, be careful and thorough when looking for someone to do this. Ask for samples of their work. If they say it's confidential, tell them you'll be happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), and that the person can block out any sensitive information such as numbers or product design.

I've been hired a number of times to write a business plan, or to contribute only one portion. However each and every time it was by word of mouth, not because I advertised. So I'd say the best way to do this is through speaking with people you know and trust to help find someone.

Default The best

way to make a business plan is to just write it yourself. There are plenty of sites on the internet that will help you with this and who will ever know your business as well as you do. This is your future here. Do you really want to trust it to someone else?

While the business owner knows his or her business better than anyone, not everyone has the expertise to communicate the specifics of their business in terms and format a particular audience prefers. This is especially true in technology related, and "new invention" businesses. A mechanical engineer, for example, may create an amazing invention. However if his business plan doesn't have a financial plan with carefully thought out cash forecasts, the business plan may never get into the correct hands.

The same way business owners need to know their limitations of operating their business, they also must acknowledge some parts of the business plan are best written by someone with a different expertise.

I think the best way is to write it yourself, but then not everyone has the gift of writing, as others have alread mentioned here. In that case hiring a professonal business plan writer is the solution. Not just someone who writes well but someone experienced, of course.

Default Not me

I don't think i would trust anyone to create my business plan for my business. I like to control my own future or good or bad.

But you can read it and iron out all the bumps before you take it to the bank! Just kidding, I think you can perfectly handle writing a business plan Elven.

Default well i think

If your going to run a business you need to know all aspects of your business. You need to learn your law, your accounting, your public relations, all of that. This specialization we have started doing in the past few generations is starting to show with people who are awesome at one thing and just plain uneducated in everything else. Look if your going to do something. Do it right...otherwise just stay out of the ballpark.

Default Don't spend the money

You really don't need to spend money on a business planner when you have a community college in your backyard. Business admin classes enjoy helping and you could do worse than to have a college professor helping you in exchange for using your business plan process as a teaching tool.
